Silent and Rare Disorder
Hypophosphatasia (HPP) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by impaired mineralization (“calcification”) of bones and teeth. Problems occur because mineralization is how bones and teeth take up calcium and phosphorus required for proper hardness and strength.
